Hops
Camel routes the workflow calls. Open hop from a call node.
A hop is a loaded Camel direct: route (or a shipped alias). Workflow call nodes pick hops from the directory. Hop YAML is not edited on the workflow canvas.
Open hop
From a selected call node, Open hop goes to /workflows/{id}/hops/{hopId}. Breadcrumb: Workflow / contact-lead / notifyMatrix.
There you see hop YAML and, where configured, governed-HTTP connector forms. Kaoto may embed in an iframe for YAML editing. After saving hop YAML, roll the data-plane so Camel reloads routes.
Allowed calls
Each call must be a loaded route id or one of the shipped aliases (persistOutbox, notifyPartner, syncPartnerCrm, recordConsume). Not sendData, and not the raw alias-target route ids.
If this fails
| Symptom | Cause |

| Hop missing from the picker | Route not loaded (CONNECT_CAMEL_ROUTES_INCLUDE) |
| Save YAML rejected | CONNECT_HOP_YAML_DIR unset, or you are not an operator |
| Run still uses old hop | Data-plane not rolled after YAML save |
