API layers
Experience APIs for integrators, System APIs for operators.
Connect publishes two OpenAPI groups. You do not need these names to use the portal. You need them when you open APIs.

Experience docs are public. System API reference is Authentik-gated in production.
When to use which
- Building a website form or BI extract → Experience + API key or HMAC
- Operating runs, tasks, webhooks → Portal (System under the hood)
- Trying a request from docs → APIs tab, Experience by default
